“El Cazador” set to charge to No. 1; one debut El Cazador de la Bruja soars 12-1 in its 2nd month. El Cazador has grossed 782.8 million grosses to date. If Cazador hits No. 1 in March, it will be the first time No. 1 changed hands in March with a first career No. 1 since 2007 when fellow FUNimation-imprint anime Gunslinger Girl led the tally.
The March, 2010 Top 25 Shows Prediction List will be posted on February 4 (Tomorrow) while the official chart will be posted on February 25 (final Thursday of the month).
Sister Princess holds at No. 2 in its 11th month. Sister has grossed 12.57 billion grosses to date. Ragnarok the Animation, No. 1 show for the last two months, dips to No. 3 in its 3rd month. Ragnarok has grossed 3.19 billion grosses to date. Lucky Star dips back to No. 4 in its 8th month. Lucky has grossed 11.64 billion grosses to date. Vampire Princess Miyu rounds out the top-5 rising one position in its 22nd month. Miyu has grossed 13.98 billion grosses to date.
Best Student Council dips 5-6 in its 2nd month. BSC has grossed 781.3 million grosses to date. The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest… rises 11-7 in its 8th month. World’s Dumbest… has grossed 3.82 billion grosses to date. Ramen Fighter Miki tumbles 4-8 in its 4th month. Miki has grossed 3.06 billion grosses to date. Countdown with Keith Olbermann rises 15-9 in its 34th month. Bamboo Blade rounds out the top-10 tumbling three positions in its 3rd month. Bamboo has grossed 2.22 billion grosses to date.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit rises 14-11 in its 24th month. Seraphim Call dips 9-12 in its 7th month. Digimon slips 10-13 in its 62nd month. Mushishi rises 17-14 in its 12th month. Mushishi has grossed 8.75 billion grosses to date. Ghost Stories rounds out the top-15 plunges in its seven positions in its 4th month.
Code-E slides 13-16 in its 16th month. R.O.D the TV dips 16-17 in its 10th month. Ryoko’s Case File rises 19-18 in its 3rd month. Soul Eater rises 22-19 in its 14th month. 11eyes debuts at No. 20.
Divorce Court holds at No. 21 in its 28th month. SoltyRei dips 18-22 in its 12th month. Scrapped Princess falls 20-23 in its 11th month. Shonen Onmyouji dips 23-24 in its 7th month. Shikabane Hime stays at No. 25 in its 10th month. |
“Sister” nets sixth career No. 1 with first weekly tally lead since August; new AGR, QGR leader Sister Princess races to the top of the heap this week on the Top 10 Shows of the Week chart grossing 410.4 million grosses nearing 13 billion career grosses. This is Sister’s sixth time leading this tally and is the first time its led it since last August 15. That week, Sister Princess completed a hat trick -- the 25th in the chart’s history -- grossing 446.8 million grosses, breaking the single-week No. 1 grossing record. It still holds the record to this day.
Sister is the 5th different No. 1 of 2010.
Last week’s No. 1, El Cazador de la Bruja, dips to No. 2 grossing 385 million grosses surpassing 1 billion career grosses. Best Student Council also surpassed 1 billion career grosses. It remains at No. 3 this week grossing 362 million grosses. Vampire Princess Miyu is No. 4 grossing 344.3 million grosses surpassing 14 billion career grosses. The Young and the Restless is No. 5 for a third straight week grossing 321 million grosses surpassing 16 billion career grosses.
Divorce Court is No. 8 grossing 278.4 million grosses surpassing 15 billion career grosses. World’s Dumbest is No. 9 moving 263.7 million grosses surpassing 4 billion career grosses.
Bamboo Blade takes the first slot of Close Calls grossing 234.5 million grosses.
Over on the Annual Gross Races chart, Sister Princess leads after 6 weeks holding a 111 million gross advantage over No. 2, Vampire Princess Miyu. Last week’s leader, Lucky Star, drops to No. 3. Divorce Court (6-5), World’s Dumbest (7-6), and Countdown with Keith Olbermann (10-7) all move further into the top-10. El Cazador de la Bruja, rising 11-9, and Best Student Council, ascending 12-10, both leap into the top-10 for the first time. Soul Eater enters at No. 16.
